CarbonCounted Carbon Footprint Solutions (CarbonCounted) is a not-for profit organization created by Steve Cox and Andrew Conway. We are based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Our mandate is to enable fast, third-party verified, cost efficient carbon footprints and product carbon footprints.  We believe this will empower supply chains to reduce carbon emissions.

CarbonCounted enables businesses to calculate their carbon emissions with a web-based greenhouse gas inventory system. But we go beyond traditional carbon calculators and enterprise carbon management. CarbonConnect, our web-based, third-party verified application tool, provides more value – at a lower cost – to the businesses and consulting firms connected with us.

Here’s how:

• We are open to all. CarbonConnect is not a system available only from a specific consulting firm or software provider. Our system is open to all consultants and all businesses. Our system features over 8,000 sites, including registrations from more than a dozen TSX60 companies. With 30 (and counting) environmental consulting groups already using our robust system worldwide, more businesses are verifying their carbon emission data quickly, easily and in real time.

• We enable businesses to track and report their footprint. Businesses may create and post their own product-based carbon label to which their customers may link. It’s simple to run reports and publish to registries such as the CDP.

• We empower businesses to link to their supply chain. Using CarbonConnect, businesses may track the footprint of the products in their supply chain and link to them as emission sources. CarbonConnect is the basis of a powerful green purchasing strategy as competitive suppliers register and publish their product carbon footprints.

• We are easy to use. CarbonConnect offers everything from straightforward existing report templates to sophisticated, customized reporting functions. The system is constantly evolving based on the specialized needs of our users. Best of all, every enhancement we make is available to all existing and future clients.
