Canadian Biogas Association is a site for those interested in generating energy from ‘throw-aways’ [manures from livestock operations, residuals from the food industry like cereal husks, leftovers and 'spoils' from the beverage and bakery industry, etc., etc., etc.] According to this site, about 60 percent of this waste is organic and could be processed to energy, fertilizer and sequestered carbon reducing the carbon dioxide [CO2] emitted to the atmosphere.
